{"id":1921,"date":"2023-07-23T09:50:51","date_gmt":"2023-07-23T14:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/betterstreetsmb.com\/bsmb\/?p=1921"},"modified":"2023-08-21T13:05:51","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T18:05:51","slug":"city-manager-terminates-lummus-park-market-due-to-local-opposition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/betterstreetsmb.com\/bsmb\/city-manager-terminates-lummus-park-market-due-to-local-opposition\/","title":{"rendered":"City Manager Terminates Lummus Park Market Due to Local Opposition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Citing opposition from local business and resident lobbying groups, the City Manager has <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/betterstreetsmb.com\/bsmb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/LTC-310-2023-FLORIDA-FRESH-MARKETS-UPDATE.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">notified<\/a> the Mayor and Commission that she has terminated the agreement for the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.floridafreshmarkets.com\/market-content\/miami-beach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Lummus Park Artisanal Market<\/a>, effective August 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The market, along the serpentine pathway in Lummus Park, opened with great <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MiamiBeachNews\/status\/1568633872363012099\" target=\"_blank\">fanfare<\/a> in September 2022.
