Purpose<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

This project, over 10 years in the making, will have a profound impact on mobility for residents, visitors, and employees all over Miami Beach. West Avenue is an important north-south route along the west side of South Beach.
<\/span><\/p>

It’s important as the project continues to evolve that all aspects, including: pedestrian, bicyclist, and micro-mobility safety, comfort, and usability as well as following best practices, national and local standards, and also other areas of interest such as driver safety and parking are looked at holistically<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

We will work together with City Staff and Elected Officials to provide feedback and input that is reflective of the wider community.<\/span><\/p>

Data & Standards Driven<\/strong><\/span>
We intend to rely on facts and not be driven by emotion. To that end, we will review:<\/span><\/p>

  • National & local standards for bicycle & micromobility infrastructure<\/span><\/li>
  • Adopted master plans and best practices<\/span><\/li>
  • Local mobility data and trends<\/span><\/li>
  • Project plans and provide constructive feedback<\/span><\/li>
  • Resident surveys<\/span><\/li>
  • and other public records<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Meeting Frequency<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

    Our first meeting will be the week of February 13, 2023. Afterwards, we expect meetings to take place once a month.<\/span><\/p>

    Subcommittee Composition<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

    Applications will be accepted from residents throughout Miami Beach. Employees of Miami Beach businesses are also welcome to apply.<\/span><\/p>
